The Enjoyable Addiction

Tea

Today I am going to talk about my favourite topic: Tea ☕.

In this blog, I will share how I started drinking tea, why I drink tea, and what my thoughts are about it.

How I Started Drinking Tea 🍃

The real reason is my dad. He drinks a minimum of 6–7 cups of tea per day. In my childhood, I didn’t drink tea much until I was around 14–15 years old. After that, I started drinking tea 3–4 times a day. How did this start?

The main reason is my mom. She usually prepares tea for my dad, and she always makes a little extra. Since they didn’t want to waste the extra tea, they gave it to me. After a few years, it became a habit, and I started asking my mom for tea myself.

“Every habit has a story, and mine began with a little leftover tea.”

They are the ones who made me get used to tea, but now they scold me to stop drinking too much tea because I drink it many times a day. Nowadays, sometimes they don’t prepare tea for me, but I make it myself and drink it — and I love doing that 😊.

Why I Drink Tea ❤️☕

For me, tea is an emotion. Basically, I love drinking tea without any reason.
Whenever I am sad, I want tea 😞☕.
Whenever I am happy, I want tea 😄☕.
Whenever I am depressed, I want tea 😔☕.
Whatever happens in my life, I want tea.

“Tea may be a drink, but for me, it’s a feeling.”

When I drink tea, I feel a kind of freshness. It feels like the tea tells me:

You are not alone. I am here for you. Don’t worry, you can do this. Don’t panic — let’s face it together.” 💪☕

“A cup of tea is like a small hug you give to yourself.”

Some people drink litres of tea per day, but I am not that kind of person. I love drinking tea many times a day, but my maximum limit is 150 ml per cup. If possible, I can drink tea 10 times a day 😅.

Some people like combinations like tea + rain 🌧️, tea + music 🎶, tea + snacks 🍪, etc. But for me, just tea is enough.

“Some need moments. I just need tea.”

My Maximum Tea Count 🔢☕

The maximum number of teas I have ever drunk in a single day is 11 😳.
In my childhood, I used to love coffee — my highest count was 8 cups in one day when I was 14 years old. That was the last day I drank coffee. I don’t know why, but I never tried it again. I don’t hate coffee; I just stopped drinking it.

Now I’m 22 years old, and I still haven’t had coffee since then.

“Tastes change, memories stay, but my heart always chose tea.”

🌿 Types of Tea

There are many types of tea in the world — herbal tea, green tea, lemon tea, black tea, and many more, made for health-conscious people. But for me, milk tea is the best. I only love milk tea, and nothing else comes close to that taste for me .

Tea vs Coffee ☕⚔️☕️

Some people behave as if coffee is for “elite” people and tea is for “poor” or “rugged” people. Recently, in a TV debate show, one woman said coffee is for classy people and tea is for rowdy people.

She even said her pet dog drinks coffee but not tea.
If her logic is true, then I asked her:

“So you are comparing humans with a dog?
Your dog eats dog food — are you also going to eat dog food?”

I know my question sounds stupid, but people with such a mindset really think in a low way.

“Your drink doesn’t define your class. Your mindset does.”

Final Thought 🌱

If you like tea, drink tea. If you like coffee, drink coffee. But don’t get addicted to anything.

I said a lot about tea above, but why do I still say not to get addicted?
The simple answer is: anything in excess is harmful to health ⚠️.

I am also reducing my tea intake from 5–6 cups a day to 2–3 cups, and my aim is to stay at 2 cups per day ☕🙂.

“Enjoy everything. Just don’t let anything control you.”
